Rose holds the value that her clients are not merely "cases", but unique individuals with a hope and a future. She has a strong interest to help people overcome their shattered experiences and reclaim their dignity.

Rose holds more than 11 years of experience in counselling and psychotherapy. She counselled youths and adults for childhood trauma, sexual trauma, single-event trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, personality disorder, DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), psychosis and C-PTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). She also provides clinical supervision to professional counsellors and students.

Before doing counselling and psychotherapy, Rose worked in a multi-industry which included the advertising and tourism industry. It trained her to interact with people from multicultural and diverse backgrounds.

In the early millennium, Rose experienced traumatic experiences, which she describes as "the valley of the shadow of darkness". It was during the road to recovery that she learnt about her own unresolved childhood traumatic experiences. Rose eventually emerged from the trauma more robust and assured of her unique identity. She also found her calling to serve people, especially trauma survivors, through counselling and psychotherapy.

Rose Faquir's approach to counselling is strength-based. Besides trauma-informed therapy, she also provides brief counselling for people in transition or those not ready to connect with their past.
