A father of two young children, Nigel is a counsellor and an educator with experience counselling children and adults with mental health challenges. He holds empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regard as the essence of his relationships with his clients; therefore, it is the bedrock of his practice.
Nigel's counselling experience included local and international schools supporting students from challenging family backgrounds and persons struggling with their sense of self. He also counsels national elite athletes for mental wellness as they compete locally and internationally. As a musician and music educator, Nigel integrates music is his therapy for his clients.
Nigel's therapeutic approaches include EMDR, person-centered therapy, and narrative therapy. Trained in Oaklander Approach and Gestalt Play therapy, Nigel also counsels children in trauma and play therapy.
Nigel enjoys spending time with his family as a loving husband and a father to his children, including playing Minecraft with his daughter in our imaginary world, and cheering for his son whenever his son plays football.
