ADHD Therapy
ADHD affects more than attention. It can impact organisation, emotional regulation, relationships, work, and daily responsibilities. While often associated with childhood, many adults are only diagnosed later in life when increasing demands make symptoms more noticeable.
At Restoring Peace, our ADHD therapy provides a supportive, non-judgemental space to help individuals better understand their ADHD, develop practical coping strategies, and build on their strengths. Therapy is tailored to your unique experiences, goals, and challenges.
ADHD and Complex PTSD (CPTSD): Why They Can Look Similar
ADHD and Complex PTSD (CPTSD) can share similar symptoms, including difficulty concentrating, emotional dysregulation, forgetfulness, restlessness, and feeling overwhelmed. Because of this overlap, the two conditions can sometimes be mistaken for one another.
However, they have different underlying causes. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that begins in childhood, whereas CPTSD develops following prolonged or repeated traumatic experiences. Some individuals may experience both conditions, making a comprehensive assessment important to understand what is contributing to their difficulties.
