Mun Yee has more than a decade of experience working with couples and individuals, supporting them through relationship, family, and mental health challenges across different stages of life. As a counsellor, she believes that healthy relationships and personal growth require ongoing attention, self-reflection, and intentional effort.
Her work with couples includes preparing for parenthood and navigating challenges throughout their relationship journey. She helps couples develop patience, self-awareness, and open communication, while gaining a deeper understanding of each other’s childhood experiences, personal histories, and current life circumstances. This creates opportunities for more meaningful conversations and healthier patterns of interaction.
Recognising that conversations about marital and mental health challenges can remain difficult in many Asian cultures, Mun Yee seeks to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable seeking help and exploring the realities of their relationships. Her counselling approach is warm, empathic, compassionate, and non-judgmental. She tailors her approach to each individual, couple, and family, recognising that every relationship is unique. Working from a trauma-informed and salutogenic perspective, she focuses on safety, individual capacity, and the factors that support wellbeing.
Mun Yee is passionate about walking alongside her clients to foster greater understanding, compassion, and resilience—helping them build healthier relationships and thrive both within themselves and their families. She is conversant in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
A mother of two growing children, Mun Yee understands the importance of balance, connection and nurturing space for personal well-being. In her personal time, she practises self-care through grounding, creative activities like baking, listening to music and crocheting. She values cultivating warm, joyful moments with her family over shared card games.
