Fiona cher HARMAN
Trainee Counsellor
PGdip Counselling Psychology
(Candidate, College of Allied Educators (CAE))
Fiona is a trainee counsellor whose diverse background enriches her person-centred approach to supporting clients. With experience as a creative director, branding specialist, and consultant, she has been involved in launching product lines and businesses, including a private paramedicine and healthcare group, as well as ventures in the F&B and FMCG sectors. These varied experiences have equipped her with a blend of adaptability, and genuine understanding.
Having spent a significant part of her life overseas, Fiona has developed a deep cultural sensitivity and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Raising her children in a British-Singaporean family, she understands the challenges of relocation, parenthood, and returning to the workforce. These experiences have deepened her empathy and shaped her commitment to moving at her client's pace, helping them recognise their strengths, build trust, and find space to share their stories. Fiona’s counselling approach integrates choice theory, humanistic methods, and narrative therapy, creating a holistic framework that fosters personal responsibility, growth, and the reshaping of life narratives. She is dedicated to helping clients find meaning and light, whatever their context may be.
Her practice centres on supporting clients as they process identity issues and navigate major life transitions with confidence. Fiona is passionate about making mental health support accessible and fostering conversations that normalise seeking help, with a focus on a balanced Asian perspective. She understands the courage it takes to embark on this journey and is committed to providing a safe, supportive space where clients can explore, grow, and find fulfilment.
