Gladys is a Senior Therapist who works with individuals, couples, children, and adolescents, supporting clients through a wide range of emotional, relational, and developmental challenges. With a background in counselling and social work, she brings a thoughtful and integrative approach to therapy that combines clinical expertise with a deep respect for each client’s unique story and pace of healing.
Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care. Gladys integrates evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, TF-CBT, and other trauma-informed interventions to help clients process difficult experiences, reduce emotional distress, and regain a sense of stability and control in their lives. She works with individuals who may be struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, and major life transitions, helping them better understand their emotional patterns and develop healthier ways of coping.
In her work with children and adolescents, Gladys incorporates creative and developmentally appropriate approaches such as play therapy, Gestalt therapy for children, Theraplay-informed techniques, and attachment-based interventions. These approaches allow younger clients to express emotions in ways that feel natural and safe, while also helping caregivers strengthen their connection with their children. Alongside therapy, Gladys supports parents who are navigating the complexities of raising children and teenagers. Through a combination of attachment-informed parenting approaches and practical guidance, she works collaboratively with parents to better understand their child’s emotional world and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
Gladys also works extensively with couples. Drawing from approaches such as the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and PREPARE/ENRICH, she helps partners understand the deeper emotional dynamics underlying recurring conflicts. Her work focuses on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and helping couples develop a stronger emotional bond by learning to recognise and respond to each other’s needs more effectively.
Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and respectful. Gladys believes that meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to explore their experiences honestly while also discovering new ways of relating to themselves and others. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, she seeks to create a supportive therapeutic space where healing, resilience, and growth can gradually take place.
